Travel guide of VietnamBefore leaving for Vietnam, we had no idea about the beautiful Nihn Bihn landscape. It wasn’t until meeting complete strangers in Hanoi, that we were convinced to check it out. We hopped on a bus, made the 4-hour trek, and booked a hostel. After getting into town, we rented a scooter and explored the city. Journeying down random side roads, into little villages, and eventually stumbling on this huge rock formation. This experience could not have been more fulfilling. Thank you to all those amazing travelers out there; who share insight, adventure, and beautiful moments.

A morning of fairly poor weather and visibility during the only ‘tourist’ activity of our Vietnam trip finally eased. Although the clouds stayed grey, I was really happy with this image as it gives a totally different look to the standard BLUE images that you usually see of Ha Long Bay. Side note: If you get chance to go here, go!

When you think of the Mekong Delta, you think of the incredible shots which show people floating down seemingly abandoned river ways, between high palm leaves and dense forrest. When we arrived at the Mekong Delta, we were expecting our experience to be that out of the Instagram shots. However, we were faced with the most chaotic waterway I had every seen. This shot shows the side to the Mekong Delta which doesn’t get shared on social media.

Taken on a trip to Vietnam in 2015. The village of Y Ty is at the extreme north of Vietnam and is well off the normal tourist route. The road overlooks the Chinese border in many places.

This is one of the most spectacular views I’ve ever seen! And we ran all the way up (500 stairs) just five minutes before sunset. Ninh Binh, Vietnam

One of my first nights in Hanoi. The amazing northern city in Vietnam. The weather was not so good for strolling around but even better for photo’s. Here we were looking for a quick snack after a long walk. Banh Mi sandwiches are amazing, tasty and fast. The ultimate Vietnamese streetfood was found here in Hanoi.

This was my favorite memory and experience in Vietnam. We traveled from Hoi An to Hue via motorbike along the hai van pass. It was absolutely breathtaking and led to some unreal views and vistas.

This shot was taken in Hanoi Old Quarter. While on our way for lunch in a taxi, my wife and I jumped out of the taxi as we were amazed by this train track running in the middle of buildings. At first we thought it was an old train track but after some research I found out that a train is actually running twice a day. Locals know the time and live their daily routine around it.

Leaving Ninh Bình to pass through the mountains of the Ho Chi Minh Trail on our journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Some of these roads have the best views and most amazing motorcycle corners we’ve ever ridden.

Hạ Long Bay (Vietnamese: Vịnh Hạ Long, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination in Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam. The name Hạ Long means "descending dragon". Administratively, the bay belongs to Hạ Long city, Cẩm Phả city, and is a part of Vân Đồn District. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes. Ha Long Bay is a center of a larger zone which includes Bai Tu Long Bay to the northeast, and Cát Bà Island to the southwest. These larger zones share a similar geological, geographical,

This is Ngoc Son temple on Hoan Kiem lake in Hanoi, Vietnam. I shot this to show that even as a tourist attraction, it can still convey a sense of abandonment.

Woke up at 3 AM, I and my friend plan drove 100km from Dalat to Kalong, a small commune of Lam Dong province to catch sun ray in a pine forest. But when we arrived Dasar, about 30km from Dalat, all we can saw in front of us nothing but fog. A quick decision was made, we climbed up a hill near Dasar commune then here we are, lovely scenery. Such a pleasure and happy while can see a sea of clouds here.

We were on our way to Dong Van city in Ha Giang province, Vietnam. This place is called Tham Ma pass which means the pass where people test their horses’ strength. What a magnificent landscape!

While exploring the northern part of Vietnam on a motorbike, I came across this beautiful sight. As I passed by this supreme landscape early in the morning, I felt a strong urge to capture this beauty.

We were traveling to Vietnam and we thought we would have a look at this big supermarket building. Even though it was very empty inside, we managed to get to the highest floor and I took this shot of the traffic in the city of Hai Phong. The fluidity is incredible and relaxing.

We had just arrived in Sapa, the second stop on our tour of Vietnam. With the full trek planned to commence the next day, we took the opportunity to venture down to the nearby Cat Cat village. For the first time since our arrival the clouds parted and we were met with the most incredible view over the rice paddies.

Independence Palace (Dinh Độc Lập), also known as Reunification Palace (Vietnamese: Dinh Thống Nhất), built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon), Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngô Viết Thụ and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was the site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975, when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates.

Hoi An is a treasure in Vietnam that few people know about. The entire ancient town once was the main trading port along the Thu Bong river and is a UNESCO site kept in pristine condition. The narrow alleys are filled with tea houses, silk shops, coffee shops, an assortment of food, and French colonial, Chinese, and Japanese architectural influence from its long melt-pot history. Visit for a day if you're staying in Danang about an hour north, but I recommend staying for a few nights to truly appreciate this time capsule.

This was taken while on a four day motorbike trip round the North of Vietnam, right along the Chinese/ Vietnam border. Riding through the mountains offered the most spectacular views and an unreal experience.
